IDB Group and Civil Society to Discuss Sustainable Growth Issues
Specialists from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Group will meet Nov. 8-9 in Santo Domingo, Dominic Republic, with Civil Society representatives from 26 countries throughout Latin American and the Caribbean, to exchange experiences and share perspectives on sustainable growth.
As part of an ongoing dialogue of the Bank with the region, the XVI Annual Meeting of the IDB Group and Civil Society will address topics related to sustainable growth, including innovation, equity, fiscal incentives, road safety and its impact on public health, and the effect of climate change, among other issues.
The IDB Group is composed of the Inter-American Development Bank, the Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC) and the Multilateral Investment Fund (MIF). The IIC supports the private sector and state-owned enterprises through financing, advisory services and training, while the MIF promotes private sector growth through grants and investments, with an emphasis on microenterprise.
Registration is open until Oct.7 2016. Participation is subject to registration and event capacity.
