Loans

Most IDB projects and technical cooperation programs are financed through loans, either at market rates or using concessional resources.

Loans may be extended with:

• Sovereign Guaranteed Loans:
  The IDB offers financing for governments and government-controlled institutions to support development and social projects.
   
• Non- Sovereign Guaranteed Loans:
  The IDB offers financing for private sector projects that contribute to development.
