Bank Staff

The IDB staff comes from the Bank’s 48 member countries. Approximately 68 percent of them are citizens of its borrowing member countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, while close to 32 percent are from non-borrowing member countries.

At year-end 2009, there were 1,881 active staff working at the IDB. Of that total, 41 were executive, 185 managerial, 1,455 technical and 300 support staff. Close to 32 percent worked in country offices, while women comprised almost46.4percent of all technical staff.
