  FOMIN, the investment fund of the Inter-American Development Bank, in partnership with National Geographic Society (NGS) and Ashoka’s Changemakers, will host an event to promote new business ideas for tourism in Latin America and the Caribbean with a focus on public-private partnerships.

• Families in Ecuador to access adequate housing with IDB assistance

  The Inter-American Development Bank approved a $100 million loan to support Ecuador's Housing Incentives System (or SIV, for its Spanish initials), which provides economic assistance to low-income families that lack housing or live in substandard homes in urban and rural areas.

• MIF to present in Madrid new index on public-private partnerships in Latin America and the Caribbean

  The Infrascope, a tool developed by the Economist Intelligence Unit, measures the capacity of countries to implement PPPs in transportation and water projects.
