Independent Investigation Mechanism
Roster

The Inter-American Development Bank is seeking individuals of integrity and recognized professional competence in areas related to the social and economic development of Latin America and the Caribbean as candidates for appointment to the Roster of Investigators of the Bank's Independent Investigative Mechanism, as provided by the Mechanism policy.

The Roster will be composed of 15 individuals from member countries of the Bank, nationals of no fewer than ten countries (preferably no more than two of the same nationality). Candidates will be nominated by the President of the Bank and approved by the Board of Executive Directors. The nonrenewable term of appointment is for five years.

Former staff members of the Bank are not eligible for consideration as candidates unless a minimum of two years have elapsed following the termination of their services with the Bank. The term "staff members of the Bank" for this purpose means any individual employed directly by the Bank in any capacity, whether as a consultant or employee, full- or part-time, on a limited or permanent basis, and any Executive Director, Alternate Executive Director, or member of their staff. Members of the Roster may not be employed by the Bank in any capacity for a period of two years following the termination of his or her appointment.

Candidates for appointment to the Roster must commit to making the necessary arrangements to provide services as required by the Mechanism during their term of appointment, either in a consulting capacity or as a member of an investigation panel. Honoraria will be paid to Roster members on the basis of work performed, either as consultants or as members of an investigation panel. No right to compensation shall arise solely on the basis of appointment to the Roster.

The Bank has requested members of the Bank's Board of Executive Directors, Country Office Representatives and Staff Retiree Association to provide names and resumes of potential candidates for the Roster. Potential candidates may also send their resumes directly to:
