The 49th annual meeting of the IDB Board of Governors ended Tuesday with the last plenary sessions and a closing ceremony at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

IDB President Luis Alberto Moreno summed up two days of deliberations by the governors, who are finance ministers, central bank presidents and other high-ranking officials of the Bank’s 47 member countries.

Prior to that, Moreno, Colombian Finance Minister Oscar Ivan Zuluaga and Medellin Mayor Alonso Salazar Jaramillo held a news conference at the Medellin stand in the conference center’s exhibition hall. Colombia’s second-largest city will host the annual meeting in 2009, when the IDB will mark the 50th anniversary of its founding.
