 Place and date of the meeting
The Forty-seventh Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Inter-American
Development Bank and Twenty-first Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors
of the Inter-American Investment Corporation will be held in Belo Horizonte,
Brazil, from 3 to 5 April 2006. As in the past, the Bank and the host
country are organizing a series of seminars on topics of interest to participants.
These preliminary activities will begin on Thursday, 30 March.
The Inaugural Session will be held at the Palácio das Artes. Seminars,
sessions, and meetings will be held at the Expominas Convention Center.
 Airport arrival procedures, customs and immigration
The host country will have duly identified staff available at the airport in Belo Horizonte to provide arriving travelers with any assistance they might require. To enter Brazil, citizens of the following member countries will need a visa:

The need for a visa is determined not only by the participant's nationality,
but also by the type of passport he/she holds. Persons with a diplomatic
or other special official passport should consult their nearest Brazilian
Embassy.
Offices available at headquarters of IDB Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors
The Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Inter-American Development Bank, the most significant gathering in Latin America and the Caribbean that focuses on the region’s economic and social development, brings together government officials, business people, and executives from private banks and financial and development institutions.
Taking into account the convenience of having all Annual Meeting participants located within a single venue, the Government of the State of Minas Gerais is making executive suites and offices available for lease at the headquarters of the upcoming annual meeting of the IDB, to be held in Belo Horizonte’s EXPOMINAS Convention Center from 28 March to 5 April 2006. Other rooms will also be available for meetings, workshops, seminars, working lunches, and other events.
