Civil Society Organizations
Invitation to the IDB Annual Meeting: Participation by Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and other special guests is by invitation of the Bank and the Corporation. Lists of CSOs that have requested invitations from each member country of the Bank and the Corporation are prepared pursuant to internal procedures and must be approved by the respective country authorities before an invitation may be issued. The list for each country is updated each year to include requests received after the previous meeting. The list is then submitted to the appropriate Executive Director for approval.
CSOs interested in being invited to the upcoming Annual Meeting should contact the Secretary of the Bank to request an invitation. Request should include a description of the organization and a copy of its financial statements.
The deadline for requesting invitations is 11 February 2006.

Registration of CSOs: Once the invitation letter is issued,
CSOs and special guests are asked to confirm no later than February 28,
2006, that they plan to attend the meeting by completing and submitting
the on-line pre-registration form
using the username and password that appear on the letter of invitation.
Meeting rooms/work spaces: CSOs will have access to assigned meeting rooms during the Annual Meeting. These rooms are equipped with computers/Internet access, printers and phones.
Access to premises: CSOs, like other special guests, may circulate among a variety of locations at the site of the Annual Meeting. Organizations wishing to arrange meetings with Bank staff should direct their requests in writing to the Office of External Relations no later than March 28.
Use of Conference Rooms: Use of the Press Conference Room is restricted to Bank officials and representatives of Official Delegations (government officials of member countries), subject to availability of the facility, as determined by the Bank´s Press Section. CSOs and special guests wishing to use the Conference Room must arrange for the Executive Director from their member country to sponsor their proposed use of the facility by sending a written request to the Chief of the Press Section, including the requested time, duration and purpose for which the Conference Room is being requested. The Press Section will respond to the Executive Director(s) directly.

Distribution of printed materials, CD-Roms: CSOs and special guests wishing to distribute printed materials at the Meetings must use information display areas designated for that purpose throughout the Meeting venues. Printed materials such as flyers or announcements may not be taped to the walls anywhere within Meeting facilities. Printed materials prepared by civil society organizations may, in addition, be placed on a display table provided for that purpose outside their assigned office/meeting room.
