Enhancements to the IIM Policy

Since early 2004, the Inter-American Development Bank (the “Bank”) has been developing certain key enhancements to the Bank’s existing Independent Investigation Mechanism (the “IIM” or the “Existing Mechanism”).

In 2005 the Bank submitted to the public the Draft Policy and Operating Guidelines for the Consultation and Compliance Review Mechanism of the Inter-American Development Bank (the “Draft Policy”). The Bank received a number of comments on the policy.

The Board's Organization, Human Resources and Board Matters Committee is currently considering the Draft Policy and the comments received during the public consultation.
