In 1994, the Board of Executive Directors approved the Policy on Disclosure of Information (pdf), which was updated most recently in 2006. The Policy establishes requirements for the timely availability of three types of information: operational, financial and institutional.
Information on environmental and social aspects of selected operations, in particular, is disclosed in accordance with specific provisions in the Policy.
The IDB accepts comments and opinions from the public on drafts of selected strategies and policies via periodic public consultation and participation exercises.
