Nicaragua to improve electricity supply with IDB help

A $20 million concessional loan will help improve the quantity, reliability and quality of the energy supply required for Nicaragua's sustained economic growth. The new lending is the third assigned to the program, which also seeks to promote the adoption of environmentally sustainable energy alternatives. More

$850 million in lending for social protection in Argentina

Argentina will receive an $850 million IDB loan for a program aimed at providing better access to education and healthcare to vulnerable families in Argentina, improving their living conditions and human capital formation. The loan will also help realign the CCT programs currently operating in the country. More

Colombia will improve its water and sanitation services

The IDB will support Colombian government efforts with part of a US$250 million programmatic policy-based loan to improve water and sanitation services, reduce costs and rates, and expanding coverage, particularly to poor, underserved districts. More
