Innovative Brazil program leads
to clarification of CSOs' legal status and expanded credit operations

IDB's Tracy Betts was one of the representatives of 21 organizations
and private firms that were presented "Partnership Certificates" by
youth benefiting from the Capacitação Solidária
program. Among the firms that have helped to finance the program were
some of Brazil's giants, including Electrobrás, Embratur, Petrobrás,
Varig and the Companhia Energética de São Paulo. The
presentations were made on Dec. 11 at Maksoud Plaza Theater during
a meeting attended by representatives of 174 nongovernmental organizations,
businesspersons, and social and education specialists. |
